Gallop Poll Gives Romney a 48 to 43 Percent Lead Over Obama

Voters Picking Romney

The latest Gallup Poll shows that if Mitt Romney were running against President Barack Obama today, then 48 percent of voters would vote for Romney, while only 43 percent would vote for Obama. Those polled who were still undecided were asked which candidate they were leaning towards, and those answers were also included in the results.

This is not the first time Romney has been favored by the voting public in Gallup polls. From mid-August  until mid-October 2011 Romney lead by a few percentage points. Then again in late January Romney took the lead, until Obama outflanked him again in late February, 2012.
