by Texas Governor Rick Perry certainly isn’t having a good week. He made a fool of himself last Wednesday during the presidential debate when he forgot the third Cabinet department that he plans to wipe out should he become president.
Cleaning up the Mess
Trying to clean up his mess, Perry has been working the media circuit and has been trying to weasel his way out with humor. During the debate on Saturday, Perry joked about his mess-up. He said, during the Saturday debate, that he was happy that moderator Scott Pelley of CBS News asked him about the Energy Department.

Since his mistake on Wednesday, he’s stopped by the David Letterman Show in New York and has playfully joked about his gaffe. Perry did much better during the debate on Saturday night, but it certainly looks like it’s too little, too late.
