Hawaii appears to be the place to be this holiday. President Barack Obama recently arrived to spend the holiday with his family. First Lady Michelle Obama and children Malia and Sasha have been enjoying their 17 day holiday vacation in their beach home in Kailua, Oahu.
Joining them in Hawaii, though not on the same island is Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi. She is enjoying the holiday at the Four Seasons Resort in Kona on the island of Hawaii.
And she is doing so in style. During her last two Christmas holidays, she was also in Kona at the same hotel in a suite that supposedly rents for $10,000 a night. During her previous visits, she was escorted by local police at a total cost of $34,000 to local taxpayers. That is, however, nothing compared to what Obama’s trip has costs.
It has been estimated that Obama’s entire trip costs an estimated $4,113,038 for the President and his family, the staff and the security.
Certainly, a vacation that he better enjoy for that price tag.
