With less than a week to go until election day, candidates are taking their cues from polls. According to a recent poll from ABC News/Washington Post, 57 percent of Wisconsin voters say they will likely vote for Joe Biden, and 40 percent of eligible voters support Trump. The 17-point spread represents a huge growth in support for BidJoe Biden Fundraising Climbs in Mayen since the last poll revealed Biden ahead 52-46 a month ago.
Michigan, another important swing state, also seems to be supporting Biden by 7 points. Fifty-one percent said they will probably vote for Biden, while only 44 percent say they will be voting for Trump. A different pollster, RealClearPolitics announced Biden leading Trump by 9 points over Trump in Michigan.
In 2016 Trump won all 16 of Michigan’s electoral votes even though Trump won the state by a mere 0.3 percentage points. A similar outcome was seen in Wisconsin as well as Pennsylvania. In Wisconsin Trump won all the electoral votes even though he only won by 1 percentage point.
In 2020 Biden seems to have moved voters towards him significantly. If the polls turn out to be correct, Biden is due to win all three swing states.
