Poor Obama. He’s been taking quite a bit of heat lately. Talking to a GOP crowd Wednesday night in Nunda Township, Congressman Joe Walsh said,
“How idiotic is this president? I don’t want to be disrespectful, but he’s going to bring forth a jobs plan next week. Think about that for a minute. He’s been in office for three years. He’s destroyed job creation systematically for three years.”
Sarah Palin’s Criticism
Sarah Palin, of course, took her opportunity to swat at the President, as well. Saturday, while in Indianola, Iowa, Palin took the opportunity to criticize the Obama administration. She condemned the “crony capitalism” and the “permanent political class” that Obama is leading. She emphasized the dangers of a second Obama term.Palin pointed out that, while Obama will be raising almost a billion dollars for his re-election campaign, the people need to think about what they expect from their investment.
African American Criticism
The Black community is also starting to sound the alarm against Obama. PBS talk show host Tavis Smiley and African American scholar Cornel West have been on a 16-city “Poverty Tour” calling on the president and Congress to help Americans who have been the hardest hit by the recession. As Smiley said to the AP,
“But we can’t get this president or any leaders to say the words ‘poor’ or ‘poverty,’ much less do anything about it.”
One Obama insider, in response to the building criticism that Obama has been receiving from prominent African Americans, said, “The whole thing is bull—-.”Interesting times for Obama, and times that are certainly reflecting a frustration with the Obama administration.
