Lady Gaga at Obama Fundraising Event

Obama may have a high number of Twitter followers, but not as many as one of his most recent fundraising attendees. Lady Gaga attended the $35,800 a person exclusive event for Obama at the Silicon Valley home of Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg. Not only does Gaga have more Twitter followers than Obama, but she towered over him at the event.

Dressing the Part

Wearing “sky-high heels” and a six inch hair-do, Gaga made quite a presence at the fundraiser. As the last of the four fundraising events in Seattle and San Jose, California this week, the Silicon Valley event included many important names. Lady Gaga wore a floor-length sleeveless lacy black dress with a black hair piece and a black veil down the back.

Calling for Anti-Bullying Laws

Lady Gaga had, earlier in the week, said that she wanted to discuss the issue of bullying with Obama. Shaken by the news of the 14 year old Jamey Rodemeyer who took his life after being bullied, Lady Gaga declared that she was calling on President Obama to create more anti-bullying laws and to categorize it as a hate crime.

A Future Meeting

She did not, however, have a chance to talk to Obama during the fundraiser and he didn’t acknowledge her during his speech which was eight minutes long. Using her Twitter power, Lady Gaga said earlier, “This must end. Our generation has the power to end it. Trend it #MakeALawForJamey.”Time will tell if Lady Gaga gets a second, more serious, face-to-face with Obama.
