Paul Veneto, 62, is a retired flight attendant. On Sept. 11, 2001, Veneto had the day off from his regular route, the exact one taken by United Airlines Flight 175 before it crashed into the World Trade Center.
As a tribute to his fallen colleagues and in honor of the 20th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center, Veneto set out to walk the 200 miles from Boston Logan Airport to Ground Zero in New York City.
He pushed an airline beverage cart, decorated with photos of his fellow crew members, the whole way in memory of his friends. The memorial, named Paulie’s Push, also raised money for the families of Veneto’s fallen coworkers and Power Forward 25.
