If the contest for the president’s seat were about who has more friends in Hollywood – there would be no question about it. Barack Obama would certainly be sitting in that seat come November.
Getting ready for his first hip national TV ad for his re-election campaign, President Barack Obama has asked for support from quite a sexy assistant. His first ad will air during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, and Sarah Jessica Parker will be staring in this advertisement.
In the ad, she invites viewers to come on over to her home for an upcoming fundraising dinner with the president. She explains that people can enter a raffle to win two tickets to dine with her, co-host Michelle Obama and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
As she says in the ad,
“The guy who ended the war in Iraq, the guy who says you should be able to marry anyone you want, and the guy who created four million new jobs, that guy President Obama and Michelle are coming to my house for dinner on June 14. And I want you to be there, too.”
And who does Mitt Romney have on his side? Well, he’s got has-been Scott Baio and Jon Voight, both of whom recently attended his fundraiser Thursday night at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Scott Baio didn’t have any public words to offer at the fundraiser, while Voight told reporters, “The present president would like to have everybody dependent on the government and Governor Romney wants to restore individual freedoms so people can pursue their dreams to success.”
Sex and the City versus Deliverance? It’s not very difficult to see who’s winning the advertising battle for the presidency at the moment.
